Sea Farm Operations
Grows yellowtail kingfish from fingerling to harvest size in sea cages, working from boats to feed, monitor, grade and harvest stock, maintain nets and moorings, monitor water quality and environmental conditions, and respond to weather, predator and stock health events.
What the team is accountable for
- Feed stock to the feed plan and record feed use and response
- Monitor water quality, dissolved oxygen and temperature daily
- Inspect and maintain nets, moorings, cages and predator exclusion
- Grade, transfer and harvest stock to the production plan
- Apply biosecurity controls and report signs of disease

Runs the kingfish cages and the farm boats, and has grown fish at Port Lincoln for fourteen years.

Leads a cage crew on the feed and water quality rounds and trains new farm hands in boat and cage safety.

The controlled record of injuries, near misses, hazards, spills and vessel and vehicle incidents across all sites and vessels, with investigation and corrective actions to closure.
