Our departments
Six departments make up the business. Each page shows the purpose, the people, the measures that matter and the systems the team works in.
Sea Farm Operations
Grows yellowtail kingfish from fingerling to harvest size in sea cages, working from boats to feed, monitor, grade and harvest stock, maintain nets and moorings, monitor water quality and environmental conditions, and respond to weather, predator and stock health events.
Hatchery and Nursery
Produces kingfish fingerlings in a land based recirculating aquaculture system, managing broodstock, egg incubation, live feed cultures of algae and rotifers, larval rearing, weaning and nursery grow out, with strict water quality, biosecurity and disease controls.
Fishing Operations
Operates three licensed vessels targeting western king prawns by trawl and southern rock lobster by pot, under quota and closure rules, with crews responsible for safe navigation, gear, catch handling and chilling, catch reporting, and avoiding interactions with protected species.
Processing and Packing
Receives farmed and wild product, and grades, fillets, portions, cooks, packs, chills and freezes it in the export accredited plant under the food safety program, with batch coding and traceability, hygiene and sanitation controls, and product evaluation before release.
Cold Chain and Sales
Runs the Wingfield distribution centre, the refrigerated delivery fleet and the sales desk, receiving product from the plant, storing it at the correct temperature, assembling and dispatching orders to domestic and export customers, and managing customer accounts and complaints.
Quality, Safety and Compliance
Leads the business and maintains the food safety program, the biosecurity and stock health plan, the environmental monitoring program, the work health and safety system and the vessel safety management system, and manages licences, audits, regulator reporting and recalls.
